Voice entry · Control costs

If your staff can say it, they can enter it.

Not everyone on a restaurant team types quickly or reads English comfortably. In Digital Eatery they can speak stock purchases, expenses and recipes in their own language, check what the app heard, and save.

In the lifetime POS Needs internet Speak instead of type

10

Languages, or let it detect

English, Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Mixed Hindi and English works too.

3

Places to speak instead of type

Stock purchases, daily expenses and dish recipes: the entries that usually get skipped because they take too long to type.

Less training

There is no form to learn. Say it the way you'd tell the owner, check the lines, save.

Why it matters

Back-office software assumes someone will sit and type. In most restaurants, nobody does.

The person who buys the vegetables and pays for the gas is rarely the person comfortable with a keyboard. So purchases and expenses go on a slip, the slip goes missing, and the books are a month behind.

Voice entry lets the person who did the buying record it themselves, in the words they'd naturally use: "paneer 5 kilo 1500 rupaye", "gas cylinder 1100, sabzi 800".
