Bills lost to a bad connection
Every bill is saved on the device first. Each change carries its own key, so a retry can never create a duplicate bill.
No queue at the counter
Prices, taxes and bill numbers are worked out on the device, so billing is as fast offline as it is online.
Your numbers stay right
When the internet returns, queued bills sync oldest first. The day's sale report includes them as if nothing happened.

Most cloud billing apps need a live connection for every bill. In a tier-2 city the broadband drops, the mobile data is patchy, and the rush doesn't wait. Staff start writing bills on paper, the totals never match, and you spend the next morning reconciling.
Digital Eatery was built in a working cafe for exactly this. The menu, tables and bills live on the device. The internet is used to sync, not to bill.

Offline POS: questions owners ask
What works without internet?
Billing, receipts, KOT printing, tables, the kitchen display, settling and reprinting bills, the day sale report, and menu and settings changes. Staff, expenses and the dashboard can be viewed offline but not edited.
What needs the internet?
Online orders from your website, live table orders, voice entry, using reward points at the bill, WhatsApp messages and new stock entries.
Can a bill be duplicated when it syncs?
No. Every offline change carries a unique key. If the same change is sent twice, the server applies it once.
How long can I stay offline?
There is no time limit. Bills wait on the device until the connection returns. You can even switch syncing off and run a stand-alone till.
